Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Detailed Itinerary – Annapurna Base Camp Trek 10 Days

April 14 – April 23, 2027

 

Day 01 – April 14, 2027: Arrival in Kathmandu

Altitude: 1,400m
Accommodation: Hotel in Kathmandu
Meals: not included

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Our representative will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you can relax and take a short walk around the nearby area if time permits. Your guide will provide a brief orientation about the Annapurna Base Camp Trek.

Day 02 – April 15, 2027: Kathmandu to Pokhara

Altitude: 822m
Distance: Approximately 200 km
Driving: 6–7 hours
Accommodation: Hotel in Pokhara
Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast, drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara by private vehicle. The journey passes through beautiful countryside, green hills, rivers, villages and terraced farmland.

There is an optional opportunity to enjoy white-water rafting on the Trishuli River before continuing toward Pokhara.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel in the Lakeside area. You can spend the evening exploring Lakeside or enjoy optional boating on Phewa Lake.

Day 03 – April 16, 2027: Pokhara to Samrung/Jhinu and Trek to Chhomrong

Chhomrong Altitude: 2,170m
Driving: 3–4 hours
Trekking: 3–4 hours
Accommodation: Tea house
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

After breakfast, drive from Pokhara toward Samrung/Jhinu, the starting point of the trek.

From Samrung, begin trekking through forests, terraced farmland and traditional Gurung settlements. The trail gradually leads toward Chhomrong, one of the major villages on the Annapurna Base Camp route.

Chhomrong offers beautiful views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).

Day 04 – April 17, 2027: Chhomrong to Bamboo

Bamboo Altitude: 2,310m
Trekking: 4–5 hours
Accommodation: Tea house
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

After breakfast, descend through the stone steps from Chhomrong and cross a suspension bridge before continuing along the Modi Khola valley.

The trail passes through beautiful rhododendron, bamboo and oak forests. April is a particularly attractive time to walk through the lower sections of the Annapurna region, as rhododendrons are often in bloom.

Continue toward Bamboo and check in to your tea house.

Day 05 – April 18, 2027: Bamboo to Deurali

Deurali Altitude: 3,230m
Trekking: 4–5 hours
Accommodation: Tea house
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

After breakfast, continue trekking deeper into the Annapurna Sanctuary. The trail follows the Modi Khola valley and gradually climbs through forests and rocky landscapes.

You will pass through Dovan and Himalaya before reaching Deurali. As you gain altitude, the vegetation becomes less dense and the surrounding mountain scenery becomes increasingly impressive.

Day 06 – April 19, 2027: Deurali to Machhapuchhre Base Camp and Annapurna Base Camp

Machhapuchhre Base Camp: 3,700m
Annapurna Base Camp: 4,130m
Trekking: 4–5 hours
Accommodation: Tea house
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

This is the most exciting day of the trek.

After breakfast, continue from Deurali toward Machhapuchhre Base Camp. The trail enters the spectacular Annapurna Sanctuary, surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks.

Reach Machhapuchhre Base Camp at approximately 3,700m and continue toward Annapurna Base Camp.

Annapurna Base Camp stands at 4,130m and offers spectacular views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre and other surrounding peaks.

Take time to explore the base camp and enjoy the magnificent Himalayan scenery. If weather conditions are favorable, you may also experience a beautiful sunset.

Day 07 – April 20, 2027: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo

Bamboo Altitude: 2,310m
Trekking: Approximately 6 hours
Accommodation: Tea house
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Wake early to enjoy the sunrise over the Annapurna range. After breakfast, begin the descent from Annapurna Base Camp.

Retrace the trail through Machhapuchhre Base Camp, Deurali, Himalaya and Dovan. Continue descending through the forest along the Modi Khola valley until reaching Bamboo.

The descent is generally easier than the previous day's ascent, although it is a long walking day.

Day 08 – April 21, 2027: Bamboo to Samrung via Jhinu and Drive to Pokhara

Jhinu Altitude: Approximately 1,780m
Pokhara Altitude: 822m
Trekking: Approximately 5–6 hours
Driving: 3–4 hours
Accommodation: Hotel in Pokhara
Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

After breakfast, continue descending toward Jhinu and Samrung.

Jhinu is well known for its natural hot springs located near the Modi Khola. If time and group conditions permit, you can enjoy an optional hot-spring bath.

Continue to Samrung, where your private vehicle will be waiting.

Drive back to Pokhara and check in to your hotel in Lakeside. The evening is free to relax or explore Pokhara.

Day 09 – April 22, 2027: Pokhara to Kathmandu

Kathmandu Altitude: 1,400m
Distance: Approximately 200 km
Driving: 6–7 hours
Accommodation: Hotel in Kathmandu
Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu by private vehicle.

Enjoy the scenic journey through Nepal's countryside, with views of rivers, hills, villages and terraced farmland along the way.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel. You will have free time for shopping, sightseeing or relaxing.

Day 10 – April 23, 2027: Free Morning and Departure

Kathmandu Altitude: 1,400m
Meals: Breakfast

Enjoy a free morning in Kathmandu depending on your international flight schedule. You can use the time for shopping, sightseeing or relaxing.

Check out from the hotel and transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your international departure.

Your 10-day Annapurna Base Camp Trek comes to an end with wonderful memories of the Annapurna Himalayas and Nepal.

  • 2 nights’ accommodation in Kathmandu at a 4-star level hotel, on a twin-sharing basis, including breakfast (BB).
  • 2 nights’ accommodation in Pokhara at a 4-star level hotel, on a twin-sharing basis, including breakfast (BB).
  • Private transportation for the Kathmandu–Pokhara–Kathmandu journey.
